Community Involvement

Justin B. Hunter is a big believer in being involved in the community, giving back, and supporting his area. President and founder of two local non-profits, Justin knows how important community is. Justin founded the Jerry W. Hunter Memorial Scholarship Foundation, Inc. in memory of his father. Since 2016, the Foundation has given out close to $200,000 in scholarships to student-athletes at East Duplin High School, with money being raised through an annual golf tournament fundraiser. This Foundation is meaningful to Justin and his family, as his father served as the longtime athletic director, girls’ basketball coach, and golf coach at East Duplin High School. Last fall, Justin incorporated and became President of the Panther Football Family, Inc., the football booster club at East Duplin High School. His first project was a total renovation of the weight room where they raised approximately $125,000 in just six weeks. For more information on the PFF, visit it’s Facebook page. Justin is also a member of the UNC “Rams Club” (aka The Educational Foundation, Inc.)

Justin and his family are members of the Beulaville Presbyterian Church.  In 2022, he was ordained and installed as an Elder.  He has also previously served his church on the Board of Directors of its Presbyterian Early Enrichment Program.
