Attorney Profile
The son of two educators, Justin was born and raised in the Duplin County town of Beulaville. He received undergraduate degrees in History with honors and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2004 and his Juris Doctor from Campbell University in 2007. After working in Onslow County until the fall of 2008, Justin returned home to Duplin County to focus his practice on criminal defense and personal injury litigation. As evidenced by the 2013 Court of Appeals decision in State v. McKenzie, Justin has been successful defending DWI cases not only at the trial court level but also in the appellate division. In addition, Justin B. Hunter is a board certified specialist in state criminal law.
